We have been speaking with Preston City Council today with regards to registering for the Canine Volunteers scheme.
Canine Volunteers act as the eyes and ears for the council to report any dog control issues such as irresponsible ownership and fouling (people not picking up after their dog), helping to make Preston parks safer and cleaner places to visit.
Barks & Recreation's ethos focusses on the community and the welfare of dogs, so the team are delighted to have an opportunity to help in such a way by reporting incidents to the Dog Control Team.
Anybody is able to register to become a Canine Volunteer, whether a dog owner or not. More information on the scheme can be found on the Preston City Council website here.
